Job Description

My Client a large private hospital based in Hertfordshire are currently recruiting a Clinical Lead Theatre in Max Fax / Opthalmics please see details below.1. Main Purpose of Job�To provide clinical services of the highest standard for consultants and patients alike.�Leadership and organisation of staff on a day to day basis within the post holders specified specialities, ensuring staff are instructed, supported and mentored as required.�To check off duty allocations for skill mix suitability and to produce off duty occasionally when required.�To see to the day to day administration involved with the post holders specified specialities, such as stock ordering and rotation, equipment hire etc. All these tasks should be carried out being mindful of cost implications and budgetary restraints.�To communicate with all primary stakeholders both in person and on the telephone to best accommodate their requirements.�To forward check theatre schedules to ensure that staffing levels and consumables required are sufficient and arranged in a timely manner. Shortfalls and problems should be referred to the theatre manager.�Troubleshoots issues and problems arising both urgent/immediate and those up and coming.�To take responsibility for the unit in the absence of the theatre manager.2. Position in Organisation�Reports to the floor manager regarding day to day problems and issues and to the Theatre Manager for all other matters.�Liaises closely with Floor Manager and staff from other Departments.�Liaises effectively with other Hospitals, suppliers and manufacturers.�Maintains effective communication internally and externally.3. Dimensions and Limits of Authority�Responsible for the efficient management of the specified specialities, ensuring any problems effecting quality, safety and cost effectiveness of those specialities are reported to the Theatre Manager.�Participate in on call rota4. Qualifications�Either RGN level 1 or ODP DIPHE�Management Experience5. Professional Development�Participates in continual education for both self and staff.
